Privacy Policy

Introduction

Voyani LLC (VOYANI”) is committed to the privacy of your information. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand the information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage it. This Privacy Policy applies to our mobile application (the “App”) and any related websites (including but not limited to voyani.com) (the “Site”), services, and communications (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

In this Privacy Policy, any use of the words “you,” “yours,” or similar expressions refers to users of our Services, as well as any other individuals whose information we collect and process. References to “we,” “us,” “our” or similar expressions refer to VOYANI.

The Services provide a digital travel platform that permits you to import and organize travel-related information, including travel booking details, travel preferences, notes, comments, and other trip-related content (“Traveler Content”), as well as book certain travel offerings from third-party providers. Third-party providers of travel goods and services are collectively “Travel Suppliers.” The Services allow you to purchase certain travel and experiences from VOYANI using the App or Site and facilitate purchases directly through Travel Suppliers. The Services also generate travel-related itineraries and recommendations, along with travel-planning tools, alerts, and other related content (“VOYANI Content”).

This Privacy Policy does not extend to anyone whose personal information is not under our control or management, including data that is collected by other websites or apps (including OTA Partner or Travel Supplier websites or apps) that you may visit before or after our App or Site, and which are not governed by this Privacy Policy. Except in limited circumstances, we are not responsible for the data protection or privacy policies of any other website or app and accept no responsibility or liability for those policies. Please carefully check the privacy policies, terms of use, and security practices of other websites and services you use before you visit or submit personal information.

  4. Booking and transaction information, including traveler details, purchase history, billing information, and limited payment information received from our payment processors;

  5. Information you provide when you contact us;

  6. Information received from Travel Suppliers, OTA Partners, and other third parties when you choose to activate VOYANI through a partner, import a booking, or use a connected service. This may include booking details, travel dates, destinations, traveler information, the partner or referral source, and information used to associate your activation and related trip activity with that partner;

  7. Location information, when you permit the App or your device to share it, or when location information is included in content you upload; and

  8. Device and usage information, such as IP address, device type, browser type, app activity, search queries, feature usage, and diagnostic information.

If you access VOYANI through an OTA Partner or other travel partner, the partner may provide booking information to VOYANI after you choose to activate the Services through that partner. We use this information to create or populate your trip, provide the Services, identify the source of the referral, and maintain records associated with the partner relationship. Your original booking remains subject to the terms and privacy practices of the partner or Travel Supplier through which you made that booking.

VOYANI does not use traditional usernames and passwords for account access. Authentication is provided through one-time passcodes or supported single sign-on services, such as Apple or Google. We use personal information to provide the Services you request and for the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Personal information does not include aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to an individual.

Sensitive Personal Information. Depending on how you use the Services, VOYANI may collect sensitive personal information, such as passport or travel-document details, precise location information, payment-related information, information about minor Companions, and travel-related accessibility, dietary, health, visa, or immigration information that you choose to provide.

VOYANI uses sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide and manage the Services, complete bookings, personalize your travel experience, support safety and accessibility needs, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and fulfill other purposes disclosed to you at the time of collection. VOYANI does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for targeted advertising or other unrelated purposes.

Forwarded Confirmations and Imported Travel Data. This may include traveler names, Companion information, travel dates, destinations, reservation details, confirmation numbers, loyalty information, supplier communications, and limited payment-related details included in the source material.

VOYANI may use automated tools, including AI-powered systems, to extract, organize, and associate this information with your account and trip. You are responsible for confirming that imported information is accurate and for ensuring that you have the right to provide information concerning other travelers.

Imported information does not change the original booking or the terms that apply to it. VOYANI may not automatically receive later changes, cancellations, or updates from the original booking provider unless updated information is provided to or received by VOYANI.

1.2  Children’s Privacy and Minor Companions. VOYANI does not permit children under 13 to create an account or directly use the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization. An eligible adult account holder may provide limited personal information about a minor as a Companion for purposes such as organizing a trip, managing an itinerary, or completing a booking. By providing information about a minor, the adult represents that they are the minor’s parent or legal guardian or otherwise have the legal authority to provide the information and authorize VOYANI to process it. We use information about minor Companions only as needed to provide and manage the Services, fulfill travel-related requests, comply with legal obligations, and protect the safety and security of our users. We do not use known minor Companion information for targeted advertising or to train third-party AI models. A parent or legal guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a minor Companion’s personal information by contacting privacy@voyani.com, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.

1.3  Travel Companions. The Services permit you to invite other individuals to view or collaborate on your trip, or to identify additional individuals on your itinerary, each a “Companion.” When you provide personal information about a Companion, you represent that you have the authority or permission necessary to provide that information to VOYANI and to allow VOYANI to process it as described in this Privacy Policy. If you invite a Companion to join your trip, we use the Companion’s contact information to send an invitation on your behalf. If you add a Companion without sending an invitation, we store and use the information you provide to display, organize, and support your trip and related travel services. An eligible adult account holder may add a minor as a Companion only if the adult is the minor’s parent or legal guardian or otherwise has the legal authority to provide the minor’s information and authorize VOYANI to process it. The additional requirements described in Section 1.2 apply to minor Companions. A parent or legal guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of a minor Companion’s personal information by contacting privacy@voyani.com, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.

Shared Trips and Companion Visibility. When you invite a person to join a trip, certain trip information may be visible to that person and other authorized trip members, such as itinerary details, bookings, activities, trip notes, comments, and other information shared within the trip.

VOYANI does not display your payment credentials, account-security information, or private travel-document information to other trip members unless you expressly choose to share that information through a feature designed for that purpose.

Trip creators and authorized members may be able to add, edit, or remove shared trip information depending on their assigned permissions. You should review the information included in a shared trip before inviting others or adding sensitive details.

VOYANI uses third-party artificial intelligence service providers to support certain AI-powered features of the Services. Information submitted to these features, including prompts and resulting responses, may be transmitted to those providers for processing on VOYANI’s behalf.

VOYANI currently uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI services for certain AI processing. VOYANI does not authorize Microsoft to use this information to train general-purpose AI models.

VOYANI separately stores certain AI conversation history, preferences, and planning context to operate and personalize the Services. This information is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and is deleted, de-identified, or otherwise processed in accordance with our account-deletion and retention practices.

Payment Processing

This section describes in additional detail how we process payment information across the Services.

VOYANI uses third-party payment processors, including payment software development kits, to securely collect and process payment information. When you enter a payment card or use Apple Pay or Google Pay, your full payment credentials are transmitted directly to the applicable payment processor or wallet provider. VOYANI does not receive or store your full card number or security code. VOYANI may receive and retain limited payment information needed to support your account and transactions, such as a payment token, card brand, last four digits, expiration date, billing information, transaction amount, and transaction status. Our payment processors maintain their own privacy and security obligations, including applicable PCI DSS requirements.

We take the security of your personal information seriously and follow industry-standard practices to protect the data we collect and process. VOYANI has therefore put in place commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the personal information that VOYANI collects. Access to personal information will be restricted to our authorized personnel who require the information to perform their duties properly. In addition, access will be limited to only that information that is strictly necessary for the performance of those duties.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so VOYANI cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend that you do not use insecure channels to communicate confidential information to us.

5. Data Transfers

Because VOYANI is a U.S.-based company, your information may be collected and processed in the United States. Additionally, as part of the Services offered to you through our App, the information which we collect about you may be transferred to, and stored in, one or more countries other than where you currently reside. For example, this may occur if any of our servers or third-party service providers are in a country other than yours. These countries may have different data protection laws that differ from those in your current place of residence. However, if we transfer your information in this way, we will put in place appropriate protection to make sure your personal data remains adequately protected and is treated in line with this Privacy Policy.

6. Basis for Processing - European Residents

For our European users, data protection law in the European Economic Area (EEA) requires a lawful basis for collecting and retaining personal information from residents. Our lawful bases for processing personal information include:

• Consent: We may ask for your consent to process your personal information in certain situations.

• Legal compliance: Sometimes the law requires us to collect, store, or use your data for legal purposes.

• Legitimate interests: This is a term in data protection law that allows us to process your personal information if we have a legitimate reason to use your data, and only if we do so in ways which do not hurt your interests and rights. For example, we sometimes process your data to pursue our legitimate interests in running our business, including for delivering our Services, fraud prevention, quality assurance, and marketing purposes, if our use of your data does not materially infringe your rights, freedoms, or interests. This allows us to improve and develop the quality of the online experience we offer to all our users.

7. Email and Mobile Device Notifications

VOYANI may send required transactional and service communications, such as one-time passcodes, booking confirmations, itinerary updates, security notices, customer-service messages, and legal or privacy notices. These communications are necessary to provide and protect the Services and may not be subject to optional marketing preferences.

You may choose whether to receive optional promotional email, SMS, and mobile-device notifications through User Profile > Notification Center. You may update those preferences at any time. You may also unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link included in the message and opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP. VOYANI does not share or sell text-messaging opt-in consent data with any third-party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Retention

VOYANI retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, manage your account and bookings, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute-resolution obligations.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and how it is used. For example, we may retain booking, payment, refund, receipt, and transaction records after an account is deleted when required or permitted by law or needed to complete or support an existing transaction.

When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete it, de-identify it, or securely retain it in a restricted backup system until deletion is reasonably practicable. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you. When you use voice input, audio is processed transiently for transcription and is not persistently stored by VOYANI. The resulting transcript may be retained and processed in the same manner as other information you provide through the Services.

Unless an exception applies, this includes our promise not to: deny you goods or services; charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties; provide you a different level or quality of goods or services; or suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

• The right to object to or restrict processing. You have the right to object to or opt out of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. You also have the right to request that we restrict processing some types of personal data under certain circumstances.

• The right to withdraw consent. If we have requested your consent to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent for such processing at any time where this right is provided by local law.

While these rights are not globally applicable, all our customers are entitled to request access to the personal information that we hold about them. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we hold about you by contacting us at privacy@voyani.com. You may also designate an authorized agent to exercise certain privacy rights on your behalf.

You may delete your VOYANI account through the account deletion option available in the App or by submitting a request through our public account deletion webpage at voyani.com/account-deletion. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing a deletion request.

Information retained for these purposes is restricted from unrelated uses such as marketing, personalization, or AI training.

Deleting your VOYANI account does not automatically cancel any confirmed travel booking. You remain responsible for cancelling bookings in accordance with the applicable Travel Supplier’s rules.

We will generally respond to privacy rights requests within 45 days, unless applicable law permits or requires a different response period or, for reasons beyond our control, additional time is necessary, in which case you will be advised accordingly.

Please note that VOYANI does not engage in the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information as defined by California law.

You may have the right to appeal our refusal to act on a request relating to the above rights. Appeals can be initiated by email to privacy@voyani.com and marking your request as an "Appeal." We will resolve your appeal within the time frames established by applicable law. If your appeal is denied, we will explain why. If you continue to dispute our decision or would like to file a complaint regarding our handling of your personal information, you may contact the regulator in your jurisdiction that handles privacy complaints, such as your state Attorney General.
